He first qualified as a lawyer (abogado) in Spain and a few years later as an English solicitor –currently non-practising– through the Qualified Lawyers Transfer scheme, before going on to qualify as a notary public through studies at the University of Cambridge. He is also an experienced legal translator, holds the qualification of official sworn translator appointed by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists.

Javier lectured for several years at the University of Westminster, holds a Master of Research in Law degree and is the author of the book “Spanish Law for Notaries”. His practice centres on Spain and Latin America, acting both for corporate and private clients.

He lives in South East London and is a particularly keen traveller. When he’s not in the office, he can often be found travelling around the world, or in his native Valencia, Spain.

Before founding Vanner Perez Notaries, James worked for several of the largest firms of notaries in London gaining experience in all types of matter, across sectors as diverse as shipping, fashion and insurance as well as a wealth of experience in private client work.

James also spent one year working and training in Munich, Germany, and is well-versed in the various requirements of companies operating in Germany. James’ wide range of experience means that he regularly works on all kinds of matter, working with the inhouse counsel and company secretaries of our various corporate clients.

James lives in Hertfordshire with his young son and wife. James is passionate about cars and competes in the AEMC Sprint Championship. He is also a keen supporter of Tottenham Hotspur F.C.

Samantha joined Vanner Perez Notaries in 2014 and, after completing her training at the firm, qualified as a notary in August 2019. Samantha works with private clients on a range of transactions involving probate, property and family matters. She also assists a number of corporate clients with cross-border legal issues, primarily focusing on international staff relocation and KYC compliance.

Sam lives in Hampshire with her husband and her rescue dog, Max. She is a very keen equestrian and also an avid fan of Manchester United.

When not travelling or visiting his native Saarbrücken, Soren lives in Canada Water with his partner. He is an avid supporter of SV Werder Bremen and of the New England Patriots.
